• 1 bag (16 oz) coleslaw mix
  • 3 green onions – chopped
  • 1 pkg (3 oz) chicken flavored ramen noodles
  • 1/2 C slivered almonds
  • 2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/3 C vegetable oil
  • 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp sugar


  1. Place ramen noodles (set flavor packet aside for use later) in a Ziploc bag
  2. Seal the bag and crush the noodles using a rolling pin or your fist
  3. In a large serving bowl, toss together the cabbage, green onions and crushed ramen noodles
  4. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sugar and the chicken ramen flavoring packet (I use a shaker cup)
  5. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and toss evenly to coat
  6. Add almonds and sesame seeds and toss lightly to combine
  7. Serve immediately


  1. Make-Ahead Tip: Mix everything together except the crushed ramen noodles and dressing. When you are ready to serve, add the noodles and dressing and toss to combine.
