Ingredients:

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust – thawed to room temperature 
  • 6 eggs
  • 1-1/4 C half & half or cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 C bacon or ham or sausage or broccoli/mushrooms
  • 1 C Cheese (cheddar/swiss/whatever you like)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Spray pie pan with nonstick spray
  3. Roll out dough and cook shell only for 5 min at 450 degrees
  4. Remove from oven and lower temperature to 350 degrees
  5. Whisk/Scramble all ingredients together
  6. Pour over cooked crust
  7. Cover crust edges with foil (or they will burn)
  8. Bake for 45-60 min at 350 degrees – After 45 minutes, test with knife in center to make sure it doesn’t stick – should be firm in the middle
  9. Let stand 10 min before cutting
