• 1 (16 oz) package little smokie sausages (I prefer beef)
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 box brown sugar – or to taste (see notes below)


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each strip around a little sausage
  3. Place the bacon wrapped sausages in a foil-lined 13″ x 9″ x 2″ baking pan
  4. Sprinkle liberally with brown sugar
  5. Bake (approx 45 – 60 min) until bacon is crisp and the brown sugar has caramelized 
  6. Immediately pull each one out with a toothpick and transfer to a serving plate (leaving the toothpick in)
  7. Discard sugary grease in pan


  1. Some people have commented that they are too sweet, in my humble opinion, nothing can be too sweet!  If you are one of those who don’t like things too sweet, you can reduce the amount of brown sugar to no less than a 1/2 box
