Ingredients:

For the Bars:

  • 1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz)  sugar cookie mix
  • 1 box Super Moist white cake mix
  • 1 C butter – melted and slightly cooled
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp rainbow candy sprinkles 

For the Frosting:

  • 1 C butter – softened to room temperature
  • 3 C powdered sugar
  • 2 – 3 Tbsp milk 
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • rainbow candy sprinkles

Directions:

Make the Bars:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Grease bottom of 13″ x 9″ x 2″ baking pan with non-stick cooking spray
  3. In large bowl, beat sugar cookie mix, cake mix, melted butter, eggs and vanilla with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds
  4. Beat on medium speed about 1 minute or until blended
  5. Stir in 3 Tbsp candy sprinkles
  6. Spread in prepared pan
  7. Bake 30 – 35 minutes or until golden brown – check at 25 minutes
  8. Cool completely, about 1-1/2 hours

Make the frosting:

  1. In large bowl, beat 1 C softened butter, powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp milk and 1 tsp vanilla until combined
  2. Add additional milk 1 tsp at a time until spreading consistency
  3. Spread over cooled bars
  4. Sprinkle with rainbow candy sprinkles
  5. Cut into 6 rows by 4 rows

Notes: 

  1. You can substitute this homemade frosting with 2 cans of prepared frosting – just use vanilla or cream cheese flavored
