• your favorite steak – I use filet mignon
  • 1/4 lb fresh crumbled bleu cheese
  • 1/3 lb butter – softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 C bread crumbs (I use Italian style)
  • 1/2 tsp minced fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp black pepper


  1. Mix all ingredients (except steak) together to form a round log, wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for at least 2 hours – log should be firm
  2. Grill steak to your liking
  3. Take off grill and bring inside 
  4. Add cut slices of the log and spread on top of steak and BROIL until brown – DO NOT add slices of crust to the steak on the grill!
