Ingredients:
- 2 C water
- 1 C light karo corn syrup
- 3-1/2 C sugar
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 drops of gel food coloring – optional
Directions:
- In a heavy duty pot, mix all of the ingredients together
- Boil and stir continuously until it reaches 300 degrees on your candy thermometer
- Pour into a cookie sheet to cool
- After cooled (about an hour or so) break into pieces
