Ingredients:
- 2 large fuji apples
- 24 oz chocolate chips – your favorite kind
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 C caramels
- chopped pecans – optional
- popsicle sticks
Directions:
- Slice apples into 1/2″ pieces – remove apple seeds if you see them
- With a knife, make a small slit in the bottom of each apple slice
- Insert popsicle stick into the small slit
- In a medium bowl, melt chocolate chips and oil in the microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth
- Dip apple slices in chocolate and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet
- In a medium bowl, melt caramels in the microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth
- Drizzle melted caramel over chocolate and if using, sprinkle with nuts
- Refrigerate for 1 hour
Notes:
- Store in the refrigerator – make sure you eat them within a few days, as the apples will lose their crunch
