Ingredients:
For the Cake – dry ingredients:
- 1 C sugar
- 1-1/2 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
For the Cake – wet ingredients:
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 5 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 C cold water
For the Frosting:
- 3 Hershey Candy Bars (1.55 oz each)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Lightly grease an 8″ glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray
- Sift dry ingredients together directly into the baking dish
- In a small bowl, mix together the wet ingredients and add into the center of the dry ingredients
- Mix thoroughly with a fork (if using a metal pan, be careful, the fork may scratch your pan)
- Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 30 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out clean
- Cool for 15 minutes
- Break up Hershey Bars and put on top of the cake
- Allow to melt and then spread to cover
