Ingredients:

For the Buns:

  • 1 can “Grands” Biscuits – 8 count
  • 4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) melted butter
  • 1/4 C walnuts or pecans – chopped – optional 
  • 1/3 C sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

For the Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese – softened to room temperature
  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Make the Buns:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Grease a 9″ round cake pan
  3. Cut 7 of the biscuits in half, leaving 1 uncut
  4. Start to form a “flower” withe biscuits on the pan – starting with the uncut one for the center, and then continue to place the 14 halves from the center to the edge – making a “flower” look
  5. Slightly press biscuits into pan
  6. Brush tops of biscuits with melted butter
  7. Stir together 1 Tbsp cinnamon into 1/3 C sugar and if using, stir in nuts
  8. Pour this mixture over the buttered biscuits
  9. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes 

Make the Frosting:

  1. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon until well mixed (a fork works best)
  2. Add vanilla until a thick icing forms
  3. Immediately pour frosting over top and serve
