Ingredients:
- 1 refrigerated pie crust – thawed to room temperature
- 6 eggs
- 1-1/4 C half & half or cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 3/4 C bacon or ham or sausage or broccoli/mushrooms
- 1 C Cheese (cheddar/swiss/whatever you like)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Spray pie pan with nonstick spray
- Roll out dough and cook shell only for 5 min at 450 degrees
- Remove from oven and lower temperature to 350 degrees
- Whisk/Scramble all ingredients together
- Pour over cooked crust
- Cover crust edges with foil (or they will burn)
- Bake for 45-60 min at 350 degrees – After 45 minutes, test with knife in center to make sure it doesn’t stick – should be firm in the middle
- Let stand 10 min before cutting
