Ingredients:
- 1 loaf french bread – slice lengthwise
- 6 oz green olives – sliced (with or without pimentos)
- 6 oz black olives – sliced
- 1 stick (1/2 C) butter – softened to room temperature
- 1/2 C mayonnaise
- 2 C colby jack cheese – shredded
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- In a medium mixing bowl, add butter, mayonnaise, cheese and olives
- Stir together until thoroughly combined
- Spread mixture onto french bread that has been sliced lengthwise
- Bake for 25 – 30 minutes – the cheese should be melted before broiling (Step 6)
- Broil until it starts bubbling and turning brown – be careful not to burn the bread
Notes:
- Mixture can also be refrigerated (up to two days) and used as a dip, served with crackers
