Ingredients:

  • 2 large fuji apples
  • 24 oz chocolate chips – your favorite kind
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 C caramels
  • chopped pecans – optional
  • popsicle sticks

Directions:

  1. Slice apples into 1/2″ pieces – remove apple seeds if you see them
  2. With a knife, make a small slit in the bottom of each apple slice
  3. Insert popsicle stick into the small slit
  4. In a medium bowl, melt chocolate chips and oil in the microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth
  5. Dip apple slices in chocolate and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet 
  6. In a medium bowl, melt caramels in the microwave on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until smooth
  7. Drizzle melted caramel over chocolate and if using, sprinkle with nuts
  8. Refrigerate for 1 hour

Notes:

  1. Store in the refrigerator – make sure you eat them within a few days, as the apples will lose their crunch
