Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf french bread – slice lengthwise
  • 6 oz green olives – sliced (with or without pimentos)
  • 6 oz black olives – sliced
  • 1 stick (1/2 C) butter – softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 C mayonnaise
  • 2 C colby jack cheese – shredded

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, add butter, mayonnaise, cheese and olives
  3. Stir together until thoroughly combined
  4. Spread mixture onto french bread that has been sliced lengthwise
  5. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes – the cheese should be melted before broiling (Step 6)
  6. Broil until it starts bubbling and turning brown – be careful not to burn the bread

Notes:

  1. Mixture can also be refrigerated (up to two days) and used as a dip, served with crackers
