Ingredients:

  • 1 lb steak – any kind
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 french baguette
  • oz blue cheese –crumbled
  • chives – chopped – for garnish

Directions:

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper
  2. Grill the steak for about 8 minutes per side
  3. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing it into thin slices
  4. Cut the french baguette into 1/2 inch slices, use about 1/2 of the baguette
  5. Place the bread on a baking sheet
  6. Place the baking sheet under the broiler and toast for 1 to 2 minutes per side – watch them as they could burn quickly
  7. Spread about a Tbsp of blue cheese on each bread slice, then top with a couple of steak slices
  8. Garnish with chopped chives
